What's This "Yum Yum" Stuff All About?

The combined efforts of the Graham Johnson Cultural Arts Endowment and Storytellers Bookstore convinced The Sculpture Foundation of California to loan J. Seward Johnson’s limited edition bronze “YUM YUM” sculpture for a one-year public display in historic downtown Wake Forest. I’m sure you’ve noticed her perched in the gazebo garden since May, but you might not realize just how special an opportunity it is for Wake Forest to host this famous piece of art!

In an effort to encourage community involvement and to promote patronage to Historic Downtown businesses, The Cotton Company is organizing the “Downtown Fun with YUM YUM” Promotion. The promotion will ask that visitors submit pictures of themselves with “YUM YUM” – group shots of family & friends, funny and creative shots, or individual shots showing off goodies they’ve purchased downtown. Why would people be interested in submitting their picture? To win gift certificates to some of their favorite places of course!
 

The Details to Participate & Win:

• "Downtown Fun with Yum Yum" submissions will be accepted August 1^st through Labor Day. There is No Limit to the Number of Pictures a Person can Submit!

• Printed 4x6 picture submissions can be dropped off at The Cotton Company seven days a week.

• Digital Prints can be e-mailed directly to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

• Pictures will be judged according to two categories: 1) How Entertaining & Original It Is, or 2) How Well It Promotes One or More of the Participating Downtown Businesses.

• By Submitting a Picture You're Authorizing that The Cotton Company, A Participating Business, and/or the Wake Weekly newspaper can Publish the Photograph Online or in Print for Publicity Purposes. Please Include the Individual Names or Group Name of Those Pictured.
