When are Showspace Applications Accepted?
We are always looking for new and exciting businesses, so applications can be dropped off at any time.

Is there an Application Fee?
An application fee proportianal to your space size is collected only once you've been approved for a space in The Cotton Company. This fee is expected at the time of lease signing.

Do You Have to Lease a Space or Does The Cotton Company Take Consignments?
To best accommodate our customer clientele, showspace in The Cotton Company is only available for lease.

What are the Terms of the Lease?
Leases are for a one-year term. 60 days prior to your lease expiration, we will discuss possibilities for renewal.

How Much do the Spaces Cost?
Fees for space vary depending on the size and location of the space and range from $125.00 per month to $575.00 per month (including advertising fees).

How do Vendors get their Money?
Each vendor is assigned a distinct number to include on their price tags. At the end of each month, The Cotton Company figures out exactly how much is due back to each individual vendor. Vendors receive a check monthly for their sales, minus a 10% commission to The Cotton Company, sales tax, and any applicable credit card fees.


Are Vendors Required to Work at The Cotton Company?
Vendors are expected to maintain their individual spaces with clean merchandising and regular re-stocking. Daily store functions are handled by separate Cotton Company staff, including changing overhead lightbulbs, fielding customer questions, and handling store transactions.

What are the Benefits of Being in a Marketplace Setting?
You are free to focus on buying and merchandising your products instead of concerning yourself with day-to-day issues with promotional marketing, handling customers, and managing staff.


How Often are You Open?
We're open every day with the exception of Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Our normal hours are 10am to 6pm Monday through Thursday, 10am to 8pm Friday & Saturday, and 1pm to 6pm on Sundays. Additionally, we're open until 9pm every second Friday of the month for Art After Hours and also periodically extend hours for store events.
