Noel Butler
My name is Noel Butler and I am an emerging artist in North Carolina. I am a self-taught artist, and I enjoy expressing myself in medium and technique to create mood and texture that elicits emotion. Many of my paintings are done using Arcylic though, because patience is a work in progress. Growing up on a farm in Ohio, I was surrounded by nature and living things, which continues to inspire many of my art pieces today. After moving to North Carolina, I continue to find inspiration in the beautiful landscapes and diverse life this state has to offer. I feel my goal as an artist is to encourage my viewer to slow down. We live in a busy self-absorbed world, and as a population, we are not encouraged to stop and look at how the sunlight plays on the petals of a flower or the facets of color that exist in the human eye. If one person, after seeing my work, is encouraged to stop for just a moment to notice the small things, I think overall I will have succeeded as an artist, and inspired another with the beauty that surrounds us all.

Diana Hrabosky
I started teaching myself to draw in 2009 from books written by accomplished artists, first with graphite pencils, and then with colored pencils. In 2015 acrylic painting self-instruction began, again using books. But this time, abstract was the style of interest which created a lovely balance with the realism of my colored pencil work. Experimenting with media or subject-matter, whether with pencil or paint, is ongoing and exciting. Creating art can be mesmerizing, with each medium having its own unique challenges, techniques, and feel. Even different brands of paint and colored pencils behave differently on paper and canvas. My former career in Administrative and Human Resource Management has proven helpful in the necessary but too-consuming administrative side of my art business. The creative side is much more fun! My other passion is social partner dancing, including Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, Folk Waltz, Slow Blues, Cajun, Zydeco, C&W Two-step, as well as Salsa, Latin, and other ballroom dances. Besides dancing as much as possible, hundreds of hours have been spent volunteering, hosting dances, teaching, and recruiting and helping new dancers. I do commission work of all kinds, including landscapes and animals. Please let me know what special piece of art I can make for you!
